Vintage group of three linen guest towels, hand embroidered in Italy, from the Baroness Rapisardi. A rare treat indeed.
One features the traditional costume of the Torre contrade of Siena, another that of Sardinia (Sardegna), and the last that of Venice (Veneto).
Excellent condition, gently used. Hand laundered, bright and clean, a slight antique patina to the linen. The Torre towel has a reddish smudge and a few faint marks, the Sardengna has a few storage spots. All minor, and easily forgiven – these look marvelous.
