Rare and magnificent antique bobbin lace coverlet—lush with a rich variety of birds and animals, hunters, and striking mythological creatures. Every inch is gorgeous. From the 19th century. This is a very special piece and a marvel to behold.
The condition is excellent. Carefully laundered, bright, and clean. We note a few repairs, and a couple of faint storage marks. All minor, and easily forgiven - this is truly a work of textile art. You won't find anything else like it.
An amazing display piece. Originally a bedcover, it would make a stunning table cover or wall hanging too.
