An extraordinary tea cozy, likely Turkish, featuring 19th century Ottoman embroidery. Both sides have the same scene – an animal surrounded by a profusion of flowers and leaves in silk and metallic threads. This is fabulous.
Excellent condition. Estate fresh, we have not cleaned this. Some loose threads, color fade, storage dust. Looks wonderful.
Size is approximately 11.5 inches tall, 15.5 inches long.
