Antique "Delhi work" textile – vividly colored silk floss hand embroidered onto a black cotton net background. Striking mandala in the center, loads of flowers, and fringed on all sides. India, circa 1900. These Delhi work pieces are rarely seen! Striking and gorgeous.
Condition is excellent, used little, and stored well. Colors are as bright in front as in back (see last photo). A few loose threads, etc. We have not laundered this, and recommend consulting a professional regarding cleaning, if desired.
Size: approximately 72 x 74 inches, including the fringe.
Light as a feather, weighing just under 16 oz.
