Beautiful vintage table topper in Silk Society hand embroidery, circa 1920. Elaborately worked flowers and winding leaves in vibrant color, embellished with lacy drawnwork.
Very good condition, gently used. Hand laundered, clean, and bright, with just a couple of faint storage marks. As often seen with vintage Society silk pieces, there’s some slight color run from the thread onto the linen, particularly the gold from the leaves (see last photo for example). It’s subtle and easily forgiven, as the piece remains absolutely stunning.
