Antique hand embroidered linen towel, likely French. Curly-haired schoolgirl, carrying a book inscribed with a double monogram, surrounded by flowers, with a little house in the distance. Rare and gorgeous.
Excellent condition, probably never used. Very gently hand laundered, to freshen. We note a deep patina to the linen, some storage marks, fold lines, and smudges. Amazing condition for age, and looks marvelous.
